Overview
This Refund Policy explains when payments made through Pickle Block for court bookings, open play, coaching sessions, and memberships may be refunded. Refunds, when approved, are processed according to the rules below and subject to venue or coach cancellation policies where applicable.
Convenience fee is not refundable
The platform convenience fee charged on top of the booking, session, or membership price is non-refundable in all cases. If a refund is approved, only the eligible base amount may be returned. The convenience fee is not included in any refund.
What May Be Refunded
- The base amount paid for a court booking, open play slot, coach session, or membership, when cancellation is approved under this policy or the partner’s stated rules.
- Full or partial base amounts if a venue or coach cancels, or if a session cannot proceed due to a platform or payment error (excluding the convenience fee).
What Is Not Refunded
- Convenience / platform fees — never refunded, even when the base booking amount is refunded.
- No-shows, late arrivals, or unused time after a booking has started, unless the venue or coach agrees otherwise.
- Change-of-mind cancellations after the partner’s cut-off time (or after funds have been disbursed to the venue or coach), unless required by law.
How Refunds Are Calculated
Player payments typically include a base price plus a convenience fee. Example: if a court costs ₱1,000 and the convenience fee is ₱70, you pay ₱1,070. An approved refund returns up to ₱1,000 only; the ₱70 convenience fee is retained by the platform and is not part of the refund.
Requesting a Refund
- For weather, calamity, closure, or safety cancellations, the venue or coach can submit a refund request from their dashboard under Refunds. Pickle Block reviews and processes the base amount only.
- Players may also reach Pickle Block via the Contact page with their booking or payment reference and account email.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when available. Bank or e-wallet timing may add several business days.
- Refunds are not available for amounts already disbursed to partners until those partners authorize a return, except where required by applicable law.
Partner Policies
Individual venues and coaches may set stricter cancellation windows. Those rules apply to the base amount. They do not change the rule that the Pickle Block convenience fee is non-refundable.
